  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, minced
  • 1 green chili, chopped (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • Salt to taste

  • Lemon wedges (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the sprouted moong dal thoroughly under running water and drain.
  2. In a pressure cooker or a deep saucepan, heat oil or ghee over medium heat.
  3. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.

  5. Add minced garlic, ginger, and green chili. Sauté for another minute.
