Ingredients:
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 2 cups fresh spinach leaves, washed and chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tomato, finely chopped
- 2-3 green chilies, slit lengthwise
- 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon garam masala

- Wash the rice under running water until the water runs clear. Soak the rice in water for about 20-30 minutes. Then, drain the water and set the rice aside.

- Heat oil or ghee in a pan or pressure cooker over medium heat.
- Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
